Minneapolis, MN — May 4, 2026 — CloudCover, a cybersecurity and cyber‑insurance technology company redefining how real‑time cyber risk is measured and managed, today announced that Neil Danilowicz has joined the company as Senior Principal Architect, strengthening its leadership in network security, Zero Trust, and SASE‑based architectures.

Mr. Danilowicz brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise and carrier‑grade networking and security, and is widely recognized as an industry leader in the definition and standardization of SD‑WAN, Secure Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) services. At CloudCover, he will play a central role in advancing the architecture and evolution of the company’s patented C3C (CyberSafety Control Core) platform.

Prior to joining CloudCover, Mr. Danilowicz most recently served as Director of Test and Certification at the MEF Forum, where he was responsible for global certification programs spanning Carrier Ethernet, Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) APIs, MEF 3.0 SASE certifications, and professional credentials. He previously held the role of Principal Architect in the Office of the CTO at Versa Networks, helping define secure SD‑WAN and SASE workflows for large‑scale enterprise deployments, and spent over two decades at Verizon Communications as a Distinguished Member and Technical Specialist leading proofs of concept, designs, and certifications for emerging networking technologies.

“Neil’s depth of experience at the intersection of networking, security, and industry standards is extraordinary,” said Stephen Cardot, Founder and CEO of CloudCover. “As we build the world’s first real‑time system of record for cyber risk, Neil’s leadership will help ensure our C3C architecture sets the bar for how security controls, risk telemetry, and economic outcomes are enforced at network speed.”

At CloudCover, Mr. Danilowicz will focus on network architecture, standards alignment, and carrier‑grade deployment strategies, working closely with product and engineering teams to scale C3C across enterprise, service provider, and regulated environments worldwide. “CloudCover is tackling one of the most fundamental problems in cybersecurity—connecting real‑time technical security controls to real economic outcomes,” said Neil Danilowicz. “The opportunity to help architect a platform that unifies security enforcement, risk intelligence, and insurance at the network level is truly unique, and I’m excited to be part of defining this new category.”

Mr. Danilowicz holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and is an active contributor to industry standards, forums, and thought leadership initiatives across the global networking and security ecosystem.
